“During one of the career fairs on campus, I met with someone from Target, and the next 11 years is history! Today, I am a Human Resource Director for the Pacific Northwest, and I am grateful for the experiences I had on campus that helped me achieve success in my career. I never thought I would start as an intern during college and get the opportunities I have had with Target that have led me here. I have met some incredible people along the way and have grown in every aspect of leadership and in life.”

“I love that this company is centered on what is best for the guest. At Target, we do everything we can to make sure our guest feels like they are put first, and they are having a positive experience in our stores or online when they shop with us. In an ever-changing retail environment, it feels good to be with a company that is taking risks and opening new flex format stores. We are investing in our company and growing the business in a time where many others are closing their doors. The approach Target takes with the team is amazing. I never thought work would be so much fun.

Target  is always looking for “drive, [and] loyal, energetic, respectful” individuals who are constantly striving to learn more and willing to take risks.

To follow Mindy’s path to success, she suggests “branching out while on campus, and exploring many different clubs and activities. Make connections and continue to foster them even beyond your four years… Spend time getting to know people who have a different background than you, learn new skills, and participate in events you aren’t an expert in. You just might be surprised at what you learn.”
