Start by Posting Jobs on Handshake
Handshake is your online connection to OSU students and alumni. We recommend all companies post their open positions here so students begin to see your company name. You can list part-time jobs for students while they are in school, summer full or part-time jobs, internships, seasonal, or full time positions, and you can manage all applications through the system, or direct students to an alternative application site.
Conduct On-Campus Interviews
On-Campus Interviewing (OCI) gives employers and students opportunities to connect through on-site interviews in the Career Development Center. Interviews are scheduled Monday through Friday during normal business hours (8:00am – 5:00pm). Request an Interview Schedule through your Handshake account. You can manage your entire on-campus recruiting efforts online! From schedule setup and job entry through candidate pre selection and notification to printing your final schedules.
Schedule Setup: Login to your Handshake account here and select new from the Interview Schedules dropdown.
Choose from the following schedule types:
Preselect: Choose the day, link the job to the schedule and the system handles the scheduling for you. All you have to do is login to the system when you are prompted in order to review and accept students you would like to interview.
Room Only: You schedule the interviews, we provide the room.
Open: Any qualified student can sign up for an interview.
Provide the requested information in the form and press submit.

Staying after the fair for interviews?
Same process! Request the number of rooms you would like through the system, and select room only so that you can sign up the students that you meet at the Career Fair.
Attend a Career Fair
Each term, the Career Development Center and other OSU departments offer Career Fairs for our current students and alumni. Find out when our upcoming fairs are taking place and register on Handshake.
Participate in Seminars, Career Panels, or Mock Interviews
Our staff annually deliver seminars on a range of employment, internship, and graduate school topics designed for both broad and specialized audiences. The Career Development Center welcomes employers to become an active part of student seminars. Mock interviewing allows you to meet and network with students who may have an interest in your field, and it provides a way for you to give back and help in educating students in their professional development. Reach out to students via Virtual Connections
Job Postings, Handshake student resumes, LinkedIn and Twitter, and Virtual Career Fairs provide ways for you to have a presence with OSU students, even if your schedule does not permit a campus visit at this time.
Connect with Student Groups
Oregon State University is home to more than 300 student organizations on campus. Meet with their leadership members to see how your organization can help sponsor their next activity.
Connect with the OSU Alumni Association
The OSU Alumni Association is a member-based, nonprofit organization that promotes OSU and engages alumni. Its programs include a website for alumni, the Oregon Stater magazine, reunions, scholarships, regional activities, faculty lecture series, travel opportunities, tailgaters and more. It is located in the CH2M HILL Alumni Center, which also serves as a conference center.

The Employer Relations Team can assist you with:
Coordinating and making arrangements for campus visits
Scheduling Career Development Center interview rooms for you.
We prefer to schedule interviews at least 5 business days in advance; please plan accordingly!
We facilitate some scheduling for the College of Business Career Success Center, please include this in your reservation note if this is your preferred location.
Providing parking when available; if unavailable, daily permits for guest can be purchased here.
Creating resume books with specific criteria of students who have indicated they would like their resume shared with employers. Email firstname.lastname@example.org with requests.
Information about recruiting best practices at OSU, information about opportunities to recruit, and information about events.
At our discretion, marketing opportunities through the student newsletter.
The Employer Relations Team cannot assist you with:
Processing payments over the phone; you can pay by check or by credit online via the OSU Marketplace (please note that we do not accept AMEX).
Scheduling information sessions outside of pre-scheduled networking events.
Requesting catering for your events.
Hosting interviews prior to 8am or after 5pm.
Promoting your event or organization via social media or email outside of contracted sponsorship agreements.
Purchasing student email blasts or lists of student email addresses.
Posting jobs on your behalf (your organization must accept the EEO agreement; we cannot do this for you).
Creating, printing, or distributing physical posters, flyers, or graphics for your job, organization, or event.
Pre-screening resumes or applicants for your jobs or interview schedules.
Arranging for you to visit classes to recruit for potential jobs/internships.

The concern could result in loss of access to the Career Development Center and resources, or disciplinary action by Oregon State University.
