The ideal candidate will have administrative experience and educational background in early childhood education.The Educational Support Specialist (ESS) for the Steady State Schools will take a lead role in consulting with the Franchisee to support the quality of the educational programs in schools. The ESS conducts ongoing education program quality assessments. The number and length of the education-focused visits are determined by the ESS depending on the educational need of the school. The ESS provides leadership and guidance in support of the school’s efforts to meet their identified education goals and works with the assigned Franchise Business Consultant (FBC) and advertising representative to support the school’s success. The ESS also supports school training needs by connecting schools to appropriate Goddard Systems University resources and personnel or external resources.
Field position; successful candidate may be based on the West Coast.
ResponsibilitiesWork closely with the Franchisee to successfully developing a premier educational program.Collaborate with the school management team to identify areas for improvement, set goals and track accomplishments.Communicate activities and results to operations, marketing/public relations, and education team colleagues.Conduct evaluations of the education program using the Education Improvement Plan (EIP) and collaborate with schools on an educational action plan and any needed follow up activities to address areas of challenge.Monitor that educational programs are appropriately implemented, evaluated and refined.Support school leadership in understanding classroom tools.Perform other job duties as requested.QualificationsEducational Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood, Elementary Education, or related field (required)Master’s Degree in Early Childhood, Elementary Education, or related field (preferred)Job-Specific Skills Required: Content Knowledge and SkillsFamiliarity with early learning accreditation and licensing standardsUnderstanding of core early childhood educational theory, pedagogy, and assessmentKnowledge of basic project management and change leadership (preferred)Operations/Management Knowledge and SkillsDetail oriented, highly organized and demonstrated ability to successfully achieve project goals in a fast-paced, high-pressure environmentInitiative and ability to address problems creativelyAble to develop and maintain productive relationships at all levels of the organization and across schoolsAbility to drive meaningful change in schoolsAbility to manage projects, including planning, goal setting, implementation, and communicationExceptional communication, writing, and speaking skillsPrevious Experience:At least one year of management experience in an early childhood programAt least 3 years of experience working in an early childhood programTeaching experience (strongly preferred)TravelTravelThe position requires travel as needed to support the schools in the portfolio.
