THE OPPORTUNITY:

The
College of Engineering, Technology, and Management (EMT) at Oregon Tech is
seeking applications for a full-time, multi-year, renewable Instructor
appointment in the Department of Computer Systems Engineering Technology (CSET)
beginning in September 2018 on the Klamath Falls, Oregon campus. Annual
appointment renewal of up to three years will be based upon satisfactory
performance review, staffing needs, and funding. Rank commensurate with

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Candidates must have a strong desire
to teach and possess the ability to teach courses from Digital Logic through
upper-division courses. Specific areas of expertise that are preferred (but not
required) include: Embedded C, Assembly Language, Microprocessors, Computer
Organization, Architecture, and Sensors and I/O. Other skills such as testing
and verification using HDL or System on a Chip Design
would also be desirable. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s
degree.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

PhD
in related field.Three
years of relevant industrial experience.Experience
teaching in higher education.

TECHNOLOGY:  

The Department of Computer Systems Engineering
Technology (CSET) mission is to prepare our students for productive careers in
industry and government by providing an excellent education incorporating
industry relevant, applied laboratory based instruction in both the theory and
application of embedded systems engineering. Our focus is educating students to
meet the growing workforce demand in Oregon and elsewhere for graduates
prepared in both hardware and software aspects of embedded systems. 

The CSET department believes strongly in the
hands-on education learning model that Oregon Tech is famous for. All of the
bachelor programs in the CSET department have two project sequences: Junior
Projects – a three-term team based project and Senior Projects - a three-term
