Student Career Assistants can provide one-on-one advising or customized career workshops. These student leaders are trained in resume, cover letter, job search and interview best practices and can provide peer support for OSU students.

Student Career Assistants can meet with you for one-on-one help with:

  • Resumes and cover letters
  • Job and internship search strategies
  • Interview prep
  • Anything that will help you with your career goals
  • Appointments are available both in-person and virtually

Use Handshake to schedule a peer advising appointment with a specific Career Assistant, or stop by Kerr A110 for a drop-in advising appointment, Monday-Friday 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Some colleges also offer major-specific drop-in hours.

workshops & Info Sessions

The Career Assistant team can provide workshops and information sessions to support students' professional development, skills, and future opportunities.

  • Workshops are available by request for OSU student organizations, clubs, fraternity and sorority chapters, departments, staff teams, academic courses, and other groups in the OSU community.
  • Workshops can be customized to meet your group's needs.
  • If you do not need a full workshop, Career Assistants can also present an informational overview of Career Development Center resources to your group.
