Host Bio: I manage the Victim Assistance Program in the Benton County District Attorney's Office. I graduated from WOU with a Master's degree in Criminal Justice in 2019. Our program employs Crime Victim Advocates who are tasked with providing victims with information regarding their constitutional and statutorily driven rights as a crime victim. We provide support, resources and referrals. We also have the ability to house student interns. The District Attorney's Office also has a Criminal Support Department that houses Legal Specialists and Paralegals, as well as a Criminal Media Department that handles discovery and Grand Jury functions. All departments work closely with the Prosecutors in our office.

I'm leading up the effort to create a Canoe Family for Siletz. I also serve as a member of the Cultural Heritage committee for the Siletz Tribe. I am a leading member of an inter-Tribal organization called Indigenous Gardens Network between Siletz and Grand Ronde with other land focused partner in Southern Oregon working to steward plant communities and restore access for our Tribal community. Host Bio: Nicole is responsible for managing science communication and outreach efforts for the Columbia River FWCO with partners and organizations in the Portland metropolitan area. She works closely with Portland Public Schools to facilitate Salmon in the Classroom curriculum and instruction for students, as well as community outreach events. Nicole helps develop and manage internship opportunities for students on a regional and national level through her involvement with regional MANRRS chapters and the Directorate Fellowship Program. Additionally, Nicole works with other scientists in her region to coordinate Science of the Service in an effort to enhance the awareness and understanding of scientific information, findings, techniques, and approaches used in the Pacific Region. Nicole is an alumni of the Directorate Fellowship Program. Nicole holds a Doctorate and Masters Degree in Biochemistry and Biophysics from Oregon State University and a Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Missouri - Columbia. Prior to joining the CRFWCO, Nicole worked at Abernathy Fish Technology Center (USFWS).
