My name is Maria Quijano (They/She). I am bilingual and bicultural, Salvadorian American. I am an early childhood educator and have been in early childhood for over 13 years. I have worked in the cross over sector of social services and early childhood for 12 years. I have been an AmeriCorps member, Lead Teacher, and now oversee our early learning program are the non-profit Metropolitan Family Service. Our program is a collaboration between teachers and parents/ caregivers. We are unique in which we get to work both with the child and the adults in their lives. We provide parent-child interaction groups, parent education, field trips, connection to resources, and so much more. The ages we work with are prenatal-5 years. Our organization ranges from prenatal to older adults. So if you're interested in a specific age range I can connect you to the right person in our agency.
