How to use Handshake
1.
Log in with your OSU email.
Use your ONID email credentials at oregonstate.joinhandshake.com
2.
Update your profile
Include as much relevant experience as possible (jobs, projects, volunteering, coursework).
3.
Make yourself visible to employers (optional)
Default Handshake profile settings are private. If you want employers to reach out to you, click your profile and select "Settings." Update privacy settings so that employers can view your profile, then click "Save Update."
4.
Set notification preferences
Click “Notifications” and “Edit Notification Preferences” to choose when you want to hear from Handshake.
5.
Find jobs and internships
Under the “Jobs” tab, click “Filters” button. Search by employer name, industry, keyword, job type, location, and more. Favorite jobs you like and set alerts to see more like them.
6.
Register for OSU career events
Use the “Events” tab to register for career fairs, workshops and other career events for OSU students.
