Been in the Parks and Recreation or Natural Resource fields for almost 50 years. Currently manage a unit of 30 parks east of Eugene/Springfield area. Have been with Oregon State Parks for 15 years. Prior to that, several years as a wildlife biologist with the Siuslaw National Forest and Oregon State University. I've run multiple non-profit conservation organizations and have worked in the municipal, federal, and state arena for many years.

Experience description

Start out with meeting the Park Manager, going over what a Park Ranger does throughout the year, touring the office/shop complex and some parks, then having the student(s) go out with one or more Park Rangers doing some typical work detail.
